Artisan Author Bio:
Quinn Columba Boyko is a neurospicey empty-nester who handwrites atmospheric escapes to welcoming worlds you’d actually want to live in. She survived public school by reading fantasy, and there was never enough of it! Her stories leave the reader high-vibe and hopeful, while speaking to real-life issues around identity, relationships, and power.
THE ELEMENTIST, her folkloric fantasy novel, re-imagines the ‘Stolen Child’ motif and features a powerful neurodivergent heroine. Aurochs Underground Press published her short story THE REVERSE-DRYAD (2023), and poem My Sister, The Water (2024). A background in live storytelling, plus lived experience with mental health issues and the differently-abled, influence her work. (Photo: May 2025, 52nd birthday)

The Elementist
What is it like, hear the song of all that is?
To feel it, in your body?
What is it like to not know who you are, but to love the world so deeply,
it loves you back?
What is it like to discover yourself in innocence?
To discover love?
What is it like to discover your full power…
and then have to give it up?
The Reverse-Dryad
“Once upon a time, there lived a woman. She was not a shepherd, but she lived in a shepherd’s hut, in a field owned by some kind people who allowed her to live there.
The field came right up to the edge of a magical forest, that only she could see….”
A short story published in the UK Journal Aurochs 1 Homecoming, Summer Solstice 2023. (In the link, scroll down for a PDF)
